Mushrooms:
- 20 large white mushrooms (stems removed and cleaned)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Filling:
- 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup lump crab meat (picked over for shells)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup seasoned breadcrumbs (optional for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
- Prepare mushrooms: Place mushroom caps on the baking sheet, hollow side up.
- Make filling: In a bowl, mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, Old Bay seasoning, mozzarella, Parmesan, and parsley. Gently fold in crab meat, then season with salt and pepper.
- Fill mushrooms: Spoon the crab mixture into each mushroom cap. Add breadcrumbs on top if desired.
- Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes until mushrooms are tender and filling is golden.
- Serve: Let cool slightly before serving.
