Mushrooms:

  • 20 large white mushrooms (stems removed and cleaned)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Filling:

  • 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup lump crab meat (picked over for shells)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup seasoned breadcrumbs (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet.
  2. Prepare mushrooms: Place mushroom caps on the baking sheet, hollow side up.
  3. Make filling: In a bowl, mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, Old Bay seasoning, mozzarella, Parmesan, and parsley. Gently fold in crab meat, then season with salt and pepper.
  4. Fill mushrooms: Spoon the crab mixture into each mushroom cap. Add breadcrumbs on top if desired.
  5. Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes until mushrooms are tender and filling is golden.
  6. Serve: Let cool slightly before serving.
