Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and buttermilk until smooth.
  4. Mix Batter: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined. Fold in the cranberries, diced apple, and nuts if using.
  5. Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
