Description

These Creamsicle Orange Cookies are a delightful citrus twist on classic cookies. With a burst of orange flavor and creamy white chocolate chips, they are perfect for any dessert lover.

Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients:

  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons orange zest (about 2 oranges)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice

Mix-in:

  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugar: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add wet ingredients: Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, orange zest, and orange juice until well combined.
  4. Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Mix wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in white chocolate chips: Fold in the white chocolate chips.
  7. Bake: Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 9–11 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Cool: Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
