  • 1 cup baby spinach (roughly chopped)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil: In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Cook the sliced chicken sausage for 3–4 minutes until lightly browned.
  2. Add onion and garlic: Add diced onion and cook for 2–3 minutes until softened. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  3. Cook orzo: Add orzo to the skillet, coating it with oil and aromatics. Pour in chicken broth, bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 8–10 minutes until orzo is tender.
  4. Finish the dish: Stir in heavy cream, spinach, Parmesan, black pepper, and salt. Cook for 2–3 minutes until spinach wilts and the sauce is creamy.
