Potatoes:
- 4 large russet potatoes, cut into thin fries
Seasoning:
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Garnish:
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare the potatoes: Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes, drain, and pat dry.
- Season the fries: In a bowl, toss potatoes with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and cayenne.
- Bake: Spread the fries on the baking sheet and bake for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy.
- Garnish and serve: Garnish with parsley and serve hot with dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, sprinkle cornstarch over dried potatoes before seasoning.
- Can also be made in an air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for 18-20 minutes, shaking halfway through.
