Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
  • 1 packet Italian dressing mix
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine (optional)
  • 1 lb angel hair pasta, cooked according to package directions
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, cream cheese, Italian dressing mix, chicken broth, and white wine if using, until smooth.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot and pour the sauce mixture over the top, making sure the chicken is well coated.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  4. Shred or slice the chicken and stir it back into the sauce.
  5. Serve over cooked angel hair pasta and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

  • You can substitute cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup for a different flavor.
  • For a lighter version, use reduced-fat cream cheese and low-sodium soup.
