- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
- 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened
- 1 packet Italian dressing mix
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup dry white wine (optional)
- 1 lb angel hair pasta, cooked according to package directions
- salt and pepper to taste
- chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, cream cheese, Italian dressing mix, chicken broth, and white wine if using, until smooth.
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot and pour the sauce mixture over the top, making sure the chicken is well coated.
- Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
- Shred or slice the chicken and stir it back into the sauce.
- Serve over cooked angel hair pasta and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
- You can substitute cream of mushroom or cream of celery soup for a different flavor.
- For a lighter version, use reduced-fat cream cheese and low-sodium soup.
