Description

These Crockpot BBQ Meatballs are a crowd-pleasing dish that’s perfect for parties or weeknight dinners. The combination of savory meatballs with a sweet and tangy barbecue sauce creates a delicious flavor explosion that will have everyone coming back for more.

Ingredients

Frozen Meatballs:

1 bag (32 ounces) frozen meatballs or 2 pounds homemade meatballs

BBQ Sauce Mixture:

1 bottle (18 ounces) barbecue sauce, 1/2 cup grape jelly or honey, 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare Meatballs: Place the frozen or cooked meatballs into the slow cooker.
  2. Mix BBQ Sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together the barbecue sauce, grape jelly or honey, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Cook: Pour the sauce over the meatballs and stir to coat evenly. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours, until heated through and flavors are well combined.
  4. Serve: Stir before serving and keep warm in the crockpot if serving at a party.

Notes

  • These make a great appetizer or main dish served over rice or mashed potatoes.
  • Use spicy barbecue sauce for a kick, or swap grape jelly with apricot preserves for a sweeter twist.
