- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chunks or additional chips (optional for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven and prepare pan: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease/line a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Mix wet ingredients: Whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla; whisk until glossy.
- Combine dry ingredients: Sift in flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Stir gently just until combined.
- Add chocolate chips: Fold in chocolate chips. Pour batter into pan, smooth top, and add optional chocolate chunks.
- Bake: Bake for 45–50 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Cool: Cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
