For the Chicken Layer:

  • 4 cups cooked and shredded chicken breast
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Stuffing Layer:

  • 1 box (6 oz) stuffing mix (such as Stove Top)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare the baking dish: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the Chicken Layer: In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  3. Prepare the Stuffing Layer: In a separate bowl, combine the stuffing mix with the melted butter and chicken broth; mix until the stuffing is moistened. Spoon the stuffing mixture evenly over the chicken layer.
  4. Bake the Casserole: Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until the top is golden and the casserole is heated through. Let it rest for 5–10 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
