  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (sifted)
  • 1/2 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Beat Egg Whites: In a clean bowl, beat egg whites until foamy. Add cream of tartar and salt, beat until soft peaks form.
  3. Add Sugar: Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form. Fold in vanilla and cocoa powder.
  4. Add Chocolate: Gently fold in mini chocolate chips.
  5. Bake: Drop mounds onto baking sheets and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes until dry.
  6. Cool: Turn off oven, let cookies cool inside for 30 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool.
