Description

Dragon Sauce is a versatile and flavorful Asian-inspired sauce that adds a spicy kick to any dish. Made with a combination of soy sauce, honey, sriracha, and fresh ginger, this sauce is perfect for dipping, drizzling, or marinating.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha or other chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice

Optional Thickening:

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Main Sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, sriracha, ginger, garlic, and lime juice until well combined.
  2. Thickening (optional): Pour the mixture into a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer, then stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Use immediately as a dipping sauce, drizzle over rice bowls, or as a marinade for meats, tofu, or vegetables. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
