Ingredients
Dark Chocolate Mixture:
1 1/2 cups high-quality dark chocolate (60–70% cocoa)
Condensed Milk Blend:
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk, 1/4 tsp ground cardamom, 1/4 tsp saffron threads (lightly crushed), 1/2 tsp rose water
Additional Ingredients:
1/4 cup chopped dates, 1/4 cup chopped pistachios (plus more for topping), edible gold leaf (optional, for decoration)
Instructions
- Prepare the Dark Chocolate Mixture: Place the chopped dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl.
- Create the Condensed Milk Blend: Warm the sweetened condensed milk with cardamom and saffron in a saucepan over low heat until fragrant but not boiling. Stir in rose water.
- Combine and Chill: Pour the warm blend over the chocolate, let sit, then stir until smooth. Fold in dates and pistachios. Spread in a dish, chill for at least 2 hours.
- Finalize and Serve: Top with more pistachios, press gently, cut into squares, and decorate with gold leaf if desired. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
