Rice Krispie Eggs:

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 package (10 ounces) mini marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Additional Items:

  • Pastel candy-coated chocolates or mini eggs (optional, for filling)
  • Nonstick cooking spray or butter for greasing
  • Plastic Easter egg molds or clean plastic eggs

Instructions

  1. Melt Marshmallows: In a large pot over low heat, melt the butter. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  2. Color and Mix: Divide the mixture into separate bowls based on the number of colors desired. Add food coloring to each bowl and mix. Stir in Rice Krispies cereal until coated.
  3. Shape Eggs: Grease egg molds, press mixture into each half, add candies if desired, and press halves together. Let set before removing from molds.
