  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Additional:

  • 1 cup pastel-colored Easter M&M’s
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Extra M&M’s for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add Wet Ingredients: Beat in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Combine and Fold: Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in the Easter M&M’s and chocolate chips.
  6. Scoop and Bake: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the baking sheets. Press extra M&M’s on top of each dough ball. Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden. Cool on a wire rack.
