- 1 large egg
- 1 large egg yolk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Additional:
- 1 cup pastel-colored Easter M&M’s
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Extra M&M’s for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add Wet Ingredients: Beat in the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Combine and Fold: Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined. Fold in the Easter M&M’s and chocolate chips.
- Scoop and Bake: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the baking sheets. Press extra M&M’s on top of each dough ball. Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden. Cool on a wire rack.
