Rice Krispie Treats:
- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 package (10 ounces) mini marshmallows
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Additional:
- pastel-colored sprinkles
- 1 cup Easter candies (such as mini chocolate eggs, jelly beans, or bunny-shaped candies)
- nonstick spray or butter for greasing
Instructions
- Prepare Baking Dish: Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray or butter and set aside.
- Melt Butter and Marshmallows: In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Combine Ingredients: Gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until fully coated. Let the mixture cool slightly, then fold in half of the Easter candies.
- Press Into Dish: Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with pastel sprinkles and remaining candies while still warm.
- Cool and Serve: Allow to cool completely, then cut into squares and serve.
Notes
- Add food coloring to the melted marshmallow for a festive pastel hue.
- You can use cookie cutters to shape the treats into eggs or bunnies.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
