Ingredients

Rice Krispie Treats:

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 package (10 ounces) mini marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Additional:

  • pastel-colored sprinkles
  • 1 cup Easter candies (such as mini chocolate eggs, jelly beans, or bunny-shaped candies)
  • nonstick spray or butter for greasing

Instructions

  1. Prepare Baking Dish: Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray or butter and set aside.
  2. Melt Butter and Marshmallows: In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Combine Ingredients: Gently fold in the Rice Krispies cereal until fully coated. Let the mixture cool slightly, then fold in half of the Easter candies.
  4. Press Into Dish: Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with pastel sprinkles and remaining candies while still warm.
  5. Cool and Serve: Allow to cool completely, then cut into squares and serve.

Notes

  • Add food coloring to the melted marshmallow for a festive pastel hue.
  • You can use cookie cutters to shape the treats into eggs or bunnies.
