Description

Indulge in the sweet and crunchy delight of Easter Toffee, a festive treat perfect for spring celebrations. This easy-to-make dessert combines salty crackers, rich buttery toffee, creamy white chocolate, and colorful candies for a delightful mix of flavors and textures.

Ingredients

Scale

Saltine Cracker Layer:

  • 1 sleeve (about 40) saltine crackers

Toffee Layer:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar

Toppings:

  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup pastel M&M’s or candy-coated chocolate eggs
  • 2 tablespoons pastel sprinkles
  • Nonstick spray or parchment paper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a 10×15-inch rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray with nonstick spray.
  2. Prepare Saltine Layer: Arrange saltine crackers in a single layer to cover the pan bottom.
  3. Make Toffee: In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar, stirring constantly until boiling. Boil for 3 minutes without stirring.
  4. Layer and Bake: Pour hot toffee over crackers, spread evenly, and bake for 7–8 minutes until bubbling.
  5. Add Toppings: Sprinkle white chocolate chips over hot toffee, then M&M’s and sprinkles.
  6. Cool and Set: Let cool, refrigerate for 1 hour to set, then break into pieces.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or refrigerate for longer freshness.
  • You can use milk or dark chocolate chips instead of white chocolate.
