Description

This Easy and Cheesy Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich is a deliciously satisfying meal combining tender shredded chicken, crispy bacon, creamy ranch dressing, and a blend of melted mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, all toasted inside soft sandwich rolls. Perfect for a quick lunch or dinner, it’s simple to prepare and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

Sandwich Filling

  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded or chopped
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Sandwich Rolls

  • 4 sandwich rolls or hoagie buns, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) to prepare for toasting and baking the sandwiches.
  2. Combine the filling: In a medium bowl, mix together the cooked shredded chicken, crumbled bacon, and ranch dressing until all the ingredients are evenly coated.
  3. Prepare the rolls: Place the sliced sandwich rolls on a baking sheet and lightly spread the softened butter on the cut sides to help them toast to a golden crisp.
  4. Toast the rolls: Bake the buttered rolls in the oven for 5 minutes or until they turn lightly golden and crisp on the inside.
  5. Assemble the sandwiches: Remove the rolls from the oven and evenly distribute the chicken mixture among the bottom halves of the rolls. Then sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheeses on top of each sandwich.
  6. Melt the cheese: Return the assembled sandwiches to the oven and bake for an additional 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese has fully melted and become bubbly.
  7. Garnish and serve: Remove the sandwiches from the oven, sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley if desired, and serve warm for the best flavor experience.

Notes

  • Using rotisserie chicken makes this recipe even easier and more flavorful.
  • Add sliced tomatoes or red onions inside the sandwich for extra freshness and flavor.
  • For a crispier cheese topping, broil the sandwiches for 1 to 2 minutes at the end of baking.
