Beef & Broccoli:
- 1 pound flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (divided)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup beef broth or water
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
- sesame seeds (optional for topping)
Instructions
- Cook the noodles: Prepare noodles according to package instructions, drain, and toss with sesame oil.
- Prepare beef: Toss sliced beef with cornstarch and set aside.
- Stir-fry broccoli: In a skillet, stir-fry broccoli in vegetable oil until tender-crisp, then set aside.
- Cook beef: Brown beef in oil, add garlic, then cook until fragrant.
- Make sauce: Whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, ginger, red pepper flakes, and broth. Simmer with beef.
- Combine: Add noodles and broccoli to the skillet, toss to coat and heat through.
- Serve: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, if desired.
Notes
