Satisfy your cravings with this quick and flavorful recipe for Easy Beef & Broccoli Noodles. Tender slices of beef, crisp broccoli, and savory sauce tossed with noodles make this a perfect Asian-inspired meal for any night of the week.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Noodles:

  • 8 oz lo mein noodles (or spaghetti)

For the Beef & Broccoli:

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (slurry)
  • 1/4 cup beef broth or water
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Noodles: Cook noodles according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare Beef & Broccoli: Steam or blanch broccoli for 2–3 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp; set aside. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add steak and cook for 3–4 minutes until browned; set aside. Add remaining oil, then sauté garlic and ginger for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, beef broth, and sesame oil. Pour sauce into the skillet, bring to a simmer. Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook 1–2 minutes until thickened.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Add cooked steak, broccoli, and noodles to the skillet, tossing until well coated and heated through.
  5. Serve: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • For an added kick, consider spicing up the sauce with sriracha or red pepper flakes.
  • Feel free to swap beef with chicken or shrimp, and any leftovers reheat beautifully with a splash of water or broth.
