Beef and Noodles:

  • 1 pound beef stew meat or sirloin, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil and brown the beef: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add beef and brown on all sides for about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Sauté onion and garlic: Add diced onion and garlic to the pan, sauté until onion is soft, about 3 minutes.
