Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream Butter and Sugars: In a large bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the fresh milled flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
- Add Mix-Ins: Fold in chocolate chips and nuts if using.
- Bake: Scoop dough into heaping tablespoon-sized balls and place them about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are just set.
- Cool and Enjoy: Let cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
