  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For Frying:

  • Vegetable oil

For Serving:

  • Marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Prepare Cheese: Pat the cheese cubes dry with paper towels.
  2. Set Up Breading Station: Place flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs mixed with seasonings in a third.
  3. Coat Cheese: Dredge each cheese cube in flour, then eggs, and finally breadcrumbs. For extra crunch, repeat the egg and breadcrumb coating.
  4. Chill: Chill coated cheese bites in the freezer for 20 minutes.
  5. Fry: Heat oil to 350°F, fry the cheese bites in batches for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
