Instructions
- Heat the Vegetable Oil: Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Cook the Popcorn: Quickly cover with the lid and shake the pot to coat the kernels in sugar. Continue to cook, shaking the pot occasionally to prevent burning, until popping slows to about 2 seconds between pops.
- Finish and Serve: Immediately remove from heat and pour the popcorn into a large bowl. Sprinkle with salt and toss to coat. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Add three popcorn kernels and cover with a lid. When the kernels pop, add the rest of the popcorn kernels and sprinkle the sugar evenly over them.
