Instructions
- Prepare the Macaron Shells: Line baking sheets with parchment paper. Sift powdered sugar and almond flour. Beat egg whites with cream of tartar and sugar until stiff. Fold in vanilla and food coloring. Fold in dry ingredients.
- Pipe and Bake: Transfer batter to a piping bag and pipe circles onto baking sheets. Tap to remove air bubbles. Let sit, then bake.
- Make the Filling: Beat butter until smooth. Add sugar, vanilla, and milk until creamy.
- Assemble: Pipe or spread filling on one shell and sandwich with another.
