  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk

  • 4 cups cubed French bread or sandwich bread (day-old works best)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Casserole: Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a large bowl. Add bread cubes, cooked sausage or bacon, cheese, bell peppers, and onion. Stir gently to combine. Pour into the baking dish and cover. Refrigerate overnight or for at least 4 hours.
