- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
For the Pasta:
- 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
For the Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons white miso paste
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- Prepare the Sauce: Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 30 seconds. Stir in miso paste, cook for 1 minute, then add white wine and lemon juice.
- Cook the Shrimp: Add shrimp to the skillet, cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Reduce heat and add cooked pasta, remaining butter, and pasta water. Toss to coat.
- Finish and Serve: Season with salt and pepper, sprinkle with parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.
