  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Stuffing and Cooking:

  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère or Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar (optional)
  • toothpicks or kitchen twine (for securing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Caramelize onions: In a large oven-safe skillet, melt butter with olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook until caramelized. Stir in garlic, thyme, salt, pepper, and balsamic vinegar.
