- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste

- 12 oz spaghetti
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook spaghetti until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Make the Sauce: Heat olive oil in a skillet, sauté onion and garlic. Add crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Simmer.
- Prepare the Meatballs: Mix beef, Parmesan, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, milk, salt, and pepper. Form into meatballs.
- Cook the Meatballs: Place meatballs in the sauce, cover, and cook for 20–25 minutes, turning occasionally.
- Serve: Serve meatballs and sauce over cooked spaghetti, garnish with Parmesan and parsley.

- For extra flavor, sear the meatballs before simmering.
- You can use ground pork or a beef/pork blend for a different texture.
