Chuck Roast:
- 1 (3 to 4 lb) chuck roast
Seasoning Mix:
- 1 packet dry Italian salad dressing mix
- 1 packet dry ranch dressing mix
- 1 packet brown gravy mix
Others:
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for searing)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 275°F (135°C).
- Mix Seasonings: In a small bowl, combine Italian dressing mix, ranch dressing mix, and brown gravy mix.
- Prepare Roast: Pat the roast dry and sear in a skillet if desired.
- Season and Roast: Place the roast in a Dutch oven, sprinkle seasonings, add water, cover, and roast for 4–5 hours.
- Rest and Serve: Let the roast rest before shredding or slicing.

- This recipe can be adapted for a slow cooker—cook on low for 8 hours.
