Dip Base:
- 1 1/2 cups sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Chopped fresh chives for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Caramelize Onions: In a medium skillet over medium-low heat, melt the butter. Add the diced onion, salt, pepper, and sugar. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 20-25 minutes until onions are soft and golden brown. Let cool.
- Prepare Dip Base: In a bowl, mix sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir in caramelized onions. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Serve: Garnish with chives. Serve chilled with chips or vegetables.
