Description

These Frosted Easter Blondies are a delightful springtime treat, perfect for Easter celebrations or any occasion. Soft, chewy blondies studded with pastel-colored M&M’s and topped with a creamy frosting, these bars are as delicious as they are festive.

Ingredients

Scale

Blondies:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 ½ cups light brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pastel-colored M&M’s or mini candy eggs
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips (optional)
  • pastel sprinkles for topping

Frosting:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tablespoons milk or heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a few drops of pastel food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Mix the blondie batter: Combine melted butter and brown sugar, then add eggs and vanilla. Mix in dry ingredients, fold in M&M’s and white chocolate chips, and spread in pan.
  3. Bake: Bake for 22–26 minutes until golden and set. Cool completely.
  4. Make the frosting: Beat butter until creamy, then add powdered sugar, milk, vanilla, and food coloring if desired.
  5. Frost and decorate: Spread frosting over blondies, top with sprinkles and M&M’s. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

  • For thicker blondies, use a 9×9 pan and bake longer.
  • Blondies can be made a day ahead and stored airtight.
