Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and prepare baking sheet: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugar: In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Combine wet ingredients: Add the egg and vanilla extract, and beat until well combined.
  4. Mix dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Add sprinkles: Fold in the sprinkles gently to avoid color bleeding.
  7. Bake: Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Cool: Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
