Marinade:
- 1½ lbs sirloin or flank steak (cut into 1½-inch cubes)
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
Additional:
- Metal or soaked wooden skewers
- Optional garnish: sliced green onions and sesame seeds
Instructions
- Prepare Marinade: In a large bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, oyster sauce, brown sugar, garlic, black pepper, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and salt.
- Marinate Beef: Add the beef cubes to the marinade, toss to coat evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to 8 hours.
- Grill Skewers: Preheat grill to medium-high. Thread beef onto skewers. Grill for 2–3 minutes per side, about 8–10 minutes total, until charred and cooked. Rest before serving. Garnish if desired.
Notes
- Serve with steamed rice, grilled vegetables, or a cucumber salad.
- For extra flavor, brush with remaining marinade during grilling (boil it first to make it safe for basting).
