Description

Indulge in the ultimate comfort food with this Garlic Bread Grilled Cheese recipe that combines the buttery goodness of garlic bread with the cheesy deliciousness of a grilled cheese sandwich. Crispy on the outside, melty on the inside, it’s a flavor explosion you won’t be able to resist.

Ingredients

Scale

Garlic Butter:

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped) or 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Grilled Cheese:

  • 8 slices of Italian bread or thick-cut sandwich bread
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Optional: marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions

  1. Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix together softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Assemble Sandwiches: Spread garlic butter on one side of each bread slice. Place 4 slices, buttered side down, on a skillet. Add mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan. Top with remaining bread slices, buttered side up.
  3. Grill: Cook for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cheese is melted. Adjust heat if needed.
  4. Serve: Rest sandwiches for 1–2 minutes, then slice and serve hot. Serve with marinara sauce on the side if desired.

Notes

  • Enhance with sliced tomato, crispy bacon, or caramelized onions before grilling.
  • For extra crispiness, use a panini press.
