Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Garlic Butter Grilled Steak & Shrimp recipe featuring juicy ribeye or sirloin steaks and succulent shrimp, all grilled to perfection and topped with a flavorful garlic butter sauce. Perfect for a quick 20-minute meal that combines smoky, savory, and fresh flavors.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak & Shrimp

  • 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (1 inch thick)
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Olive oil (for grilling)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Season: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Brush the steaks and shrimp lightly with olive oil, then season evenly with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika to enhance flavor.
  2. Prepare Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted unsalted butter with minced garlic, lemon juice, and freshly chopped parsley. Stir well and set aside to let the flavors meld.
  3. Grill Steaks: Place the steaks on the hot grill and cook for 4–5 minutes per side for medium-rare doneness, or adjust the time based on your preferred level of doneness. Once cooked, remove steaks from the grill and allow them to rest for 5 minutes to redistribute the juices.
  4. Grill Shrimp: While the steaks are resting, grill the shrimp on the same grill for 2–3 minutes per side until they turn pink and are fully cooked through.
  5. Finish with Garlic Butter: Drizzle the prepared garlic butter sauce over the grilled steaks and shrimp just before serving to add a rich and aromatic touch. Optionally, garnish with extra fresh parsley for a pop of color and freshness.
  6. Serve: Serve the garlic butter grilled steak and shrimp immediately alongside your favorite sides such as grilled vegetables or creamy mashed potatoes for a complete meal.

Notes

  • Resting the steak after grilling is essential to keep it juicy and tender.
  • You can adjust the amount of garlic in the butter to suit your taste preference.
  • If you don’t have a grill, you can cook the steak and shrimp on a stovetop grill pan.
  • For a spicy kick, add a pinch of chili flakes to the garlic butter sauce.
  • Use fresh parsley for the best flavor; dried parsley won’t provide the same fresh taste.
