Description

These Garlic Butter Honey BBQ Beef Tacos are a delicious twist on traditional tacos, featuring flavorful ground beef cooked in a sweet and tangy BBQ sauce, wrapped in warm tortillas and topped with fresh ingredients.

For the beef:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup honey BBQ sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For serving:

  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in the honey BBQ sauce, honey, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until the beef is well coated and slightly caramelized.
  4. Warm the tortillas in a skillet or microwave. Fill each tortilla with a scoop of the beef mixture, then top with shredded lettuce, diced red onion, cheddar cheese, and chopped cilantro.
  5. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
