Instructions
- Sauté Garlic: In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until it becomes fragrant but not browned.
- Cook Mushrooms: Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet with garlic and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender and golden brown. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Prepare Bread: Heat a separate skillet or griddle over medium heat. Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice of bread to ensure a crispy and golden crust during grilling.
- Assemble Sandwiches: Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, on the heated skillet or griddle. Top each slice with one slice of cheese, then evenly distribute the sautéed mushrooms over the cheese.
- Complete the Sandwich: Place the remaining two slices of bread on top of the mushrooms, buttered side facing up, to close the sandwich.
- Grill Sandwiches: Cook the sandwiches for 2-3 minutes on each side, flipping carefully, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
