6 cloves, minced

Red Pepper Flakes:

1/2 teaspoon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Sear the Shrimp: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season shrimp with salt and pepper, then cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Sauce: Lower heat to medium and add butter to the skillet. Once melted, add garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. Add white wine or chicken broth and lemon juice, simmering for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Combine and Serve: Return shrimp to the skillet, add cooked pasta and a splash of reserved pasta water. Toss to coat well. Stir in parsley and adjust seasoning. Serve with grated Parmesan if desired.
