Garlic:

Beef Broth:

6 cups

Dried Thyme:

1 teaspoon

Dried Parsley:

1 teaspoon

Bay Leaf:

Salt:

Black Pepper:

Egg Noodles:

12 ounces

Fresh Parsley:

for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Season the Beef: Generously season the beef chuck roast with salt and black pepper.
  2. Sear the Beef: Heat vegetable oil in a large pot, sear the roast on all sides until browned.
  3. Cook Aromatics: Add onion and garlic, cook until fragrant.
  4. Simmer: Pour in beef broth, add thyme, parsley, and bay leaf. Simmer covered for 2 1/2 to 3 hours until beef is tender.
  5. Shred Beef: Remove beef, shred, and return to pot. Discard bay leaf.
  6. Cook Noodles: Boil broth, add noodles, cook until tender.
  7. Season and Serve: Adjust seasoning, serve warm, garnished with parsley.
