Description

These Grape Jelly Meatballs are a classic party favorite, featuring a sweet and tangy sauce that perfectly complements the savory meatballs. Easy to make and always a hit, these appetizer meatballs can also be served as a main dish over rice.

Ingredients

Scale

Frozen Meatballs:

  • 2 lbs frozen fully cooked meatballs

Sauce:

  • 1 ½ cups grape jelly
  • 1 ½ cups barbecue sauce (use your favorite)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix Sauce: In a large saucepan or slow cooker, combine grape jelly, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Stir until well mixed.
  2. Add Meatballs: Add the frozen meatballs to the sauce and stir to coat evenly.
  3. Cook: If using a saucepan, cook over medium heat for 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally. If using a slow cooker, cook on high for 2–3 hours or on low for 4–5 hours.
  4. Serve: Stir before serving to ensure the meatballs are coated with sauce. Serve warm as an appetizer or over rice as a main dish.

Notes

  • You can use homemade meatballs if preferred—just brown them before adding to the sauce.
  • Swap barbecue sauce for chili sauce for a more classic version.
  • Great for parties, game days, or potlucks.
