Chicken Patties:
- 1 pound ground chicken
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill (or 1 teaspoon dried)
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
For Serving:
- 4 burger buns or pita pockets
- Tzatziki sauce
- Sliced cucumber
- Tomato slices
- Red onion rings
- Lettuce
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken Patties: In a large bowl, mix ground chicken, red onion, garlic, feta, parsley, dill, oregano, salt, and pepper. Form into 4 patties.
- Cook the Patties: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook patties for 5-6 minutes per side until cooked through.
- Assemble the Burgers: Toast buns or warm pita. Fill with a patty, tzatziki, cucumber, tomato, onion, and lettuce. Serve.
Notes
- These burgers are great grilled outdoors as well.
- To lighten the meal, serve in lettuce wraps or with a Greek salad.
