- 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup whole milk (warmed)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 large egg
For the filling:
- 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
For the glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Dough: In a bowl, combine 2 1/2 cups flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add milk, butter, and egg. Knead, then let rise.
- Filling: Cook blueberries, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon zest until thickened. Cool.
- Assembly: Roll out dough, spread filling, roll into log, slice, place in baking dish. Let rise.
- Bake: Preheat oven, bake rolls until golden.
- Glaze: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle over warm rolls.
Notes
- If using frozen blueberries, do not thaw before cooking the filling.
- Best enjoyed fresh or store in an airtight container for up to 2 days or freeze for up to 1 month.
