Description

  • 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup whole milk (warmed)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 large egg

For the filling:

  • 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

For the glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Dough: In a bowl, combine 2 1/2 cups flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add milk, butter, and egg. Knead, then let rise.
  2. Filling: Cook blueberries, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon zest until thickened. Cool.
  3. Assembly: Roll out dough, spread filling, roll into log, slice, place in baking dish. Let rise.
  4. Bake: Preheat oven, bake rolls until golden.
  5. Glaze: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle over warm rolls.

Notes

  • If using frozen blueberries, do not thaw before cooking the filling.
