Dog Treats:
- 2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup unsweetened natural peanut butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup water (more if needed)
- 1/2 cup pumpkin puree or unsweetened applesauce
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix the Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and rolled oats. Add the peanut butter, eggs, pumpkin puree (or applesauce), and water. Mix until a stiff dough forms, adding more water a tablespoon at a time if needed.
- Roll and Cut: Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and roll it to about 1/4-inch thickness. Use a cookie cutter to cut out shapes and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the treats are golden and firm.
- Cool and Store: Let the treats cool completely before giving them to your dog. Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week or freeze for longer storage.
Notes
- Always use xylitol-free peanut butter, as xylitol is toxic to dogs.
