Dough:

  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup warm water (110°F/45°C)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Toppings:

  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • desired toppings (pepperoni, sliced bell peppers, mushrooms, olives, etc.)
  • cornmeal for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Dissolve sugar in warm water, sprinkle yeast on top, let sit until foamy.
  2. Mix Dough: Combine flour and salt in a bowl, add yeast mixture and olive oil, stir to form a dough.
  3. Knead and Rise: Knead dough on floured surface, let rise until doubled in size.
  4. Preheat Oven: Preheat to 475°F (245°C), place pizza stone if using.
  5. Roll out Dough: Roll out dough, transfer to baking sheet or pizza peel.
  6. Add Toppings: Spread sauce, cheeses, desired toppings, oregano, and garlic powder.
  7. Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  8. Serve: Let cool slightly, slice, and enjoy!
