Description

These Honey Glazed Carrots are a simple yet delicious side dish that pairs perfectly with any meal. The sweet glaze complements the natural sweetness of the carrots, making it a family favorite.

Ingredients

Scale

Carrots:

  • 1 pound carrots, peeled and cut into ¼-inch slices or baby carrots

Glaze:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Garnish:

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook Carrots: In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil and add the sliced carrots. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes, or until just tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. Make Glaze: In the same saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the honey, salt, and pepper.
  3. Glaze Carrots: Add the carrots back to the pan and toss to coat them evenly in the glaze. Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until glossy and heated through.
  4. Finish and Serve: Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

  • You can roast the carrots instead for a deeper flavor—just toss with the glaze and bake at 400°F for 20–25 minutes.
  • Maple syrup can be used as a substitute for honey.
