Carrots:
- 1 pound carrots, peeled and cut into ¼-inch slices or baby carrots
Glaze:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons honey
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Garnish:
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Cook Carrots: In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil and add the sliced carrots. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes, or until just tender. Drain and set aside.
- Make Glaze: In the same saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the honey, salt, and pepper.
- Glaze Carrots: Add the carrots back to the pan and toss to coat them evenly in the glaze. Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until glossy and heated through.
- Finish and Serve: Remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- You can roast the carrots instead for a deeper flavor—just toss with the glaze and bake at 400°F for 20–25 minutes.
- Maple syrup can be used as a substitute for honey.
