Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Honey Mustard Sauce:

  • 1/3 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Garnish:

  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together Dijon mustard, honey, whole grain mustard, olive oil, vinegar or lemon juice, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Cook the chicken: Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish and pour the honey mustard sauce over the top, turning the chicken to coat well. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  4. Baste and serve: Baste with the sauce halfway through baking for extra flavor. Let rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
