Description

This House Blend Homemade Nut Milk is a creamy, smooth dairy-free beverage made from raw unsalted cashews and almonds. It’s an easy-to-make, healthy alternative to store-bought nut milks, perfect for smoothies, cereal, or drinking on its own. Blended to creamy perfection and lightly salted to enhance flavor, this nut milk is fresh, natural, and preservative-free.

Ingredients

Scale

Nut Milk Ingredients

  • 4 cups (930 g) water
  • 1 cup (120 g) raw unsalted cashews
  • 1/2 cup (85 g) raw unsalted almonds
  • 1/4 tsp Diamond Crystal kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add the cashews, almonds, water, and kosher salt into a high-speed blender. Using raw unsalted nuts ensures a clean, natural taste.
  2. Blend: Start blending on low speed and gradually increase to high. Continue blending for about 2 minutes until the mixture becomes super creamy and smooth.
  3. Strain: Pour the blended mixture through a nut milk bag to strain out the nut pulp, ensuring a silky texture.
  4. Store: Transfer the strained nut milk into a glass container and refrigerate. It will stay fresh for up to 1 week.

Notes

  • Use a high-speed blender for the creamiest results.
  • Soaking the nuts overnight is optional but can improve digestibility and creaminess.
  • The leftover nut pulp can be used in baking or smoothies to avoid waste.
  • Always store the nut milk in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
  • Shake well before each use as natural separation may occur.
