Jalapeño Poppers:
- 10 fresh jalapeño peppers, halved lengthwise and seeded
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Additional:
- 10 slices bacon, halved (optional)
- olive oil spray or nonstick spray (if baking without bacon)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
- Mix the filling: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, paprika, and salt until well mixed.
- Fill the jalapeños: Spoon or pipe the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half.
- Add bacon: If using bacon, wrap each stuffed jalapeño with a half slice of bacon and place on the baking sheet.
- Bake: Bake for 18–22 minutes until bacon is crisp and jalapeños are tender. If not using bacon, spray the tops with olive oil and bake until golden.
- Cool and serve: Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, leave some seeds in the jalapeños.
- Try air frying at 375°F for 10–12 minutes for extra crispiness.
- Experiment with adding chopped green onions or crumbled sausage for different flavors.
