Description

These Jalapeño Poppers are a perfect combination of spicy jalapeños filled with a creamy, cheesy mixture, wrapped in crispy bacon for a delicious appetizer that’s sure to be a hit at any gathering.

Jalapeño Poppers:

  • 10 fresh jalapeño peppers, halved lengthwise and seeded
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Additional:

  • 10 slices bacon, halved (optional)
  • olive oil spray or nonstick spray (if baking without bacon)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Mix the filling: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, paprika, and salt until well mixed.
  3. Fill the jalapeños: Spoon or pipe the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half.
  4. Add bacon: If using bacon, wrap each stuffed jalapeño with a half slice of bacon and place on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake: Bake for 18–22 minutes until bacon is crisp and jalapeños are tender. If not using bacon, spray the tops with olive oil and bake until golden.
  6. Cool and serve: Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

  • For a spicier kick, leave some seeds in the jalapeños.
  • Try air frying at 375°F for 10–12 minutes for extra crispiness.
