Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then mix in the vanilla.
- Mix dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Form and bake: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough, roll into balls, and place on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
- Make the glaze: Combine butter, sugar, and water in a saucepan, stir until dissolved, and add vanilla.
