Description

Lasagna Dip is a creamy and cheesy baked dip inspired by classic lasagna flavors. Perfect for parties or as a delicious appetizer, this dip is sure to be a crowd-pleaser.

For the Meat Sauce:

  • 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

For the Cheese Layer:

  • 1 container (15 ounces) ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil or parsley, chopped

For Serving:

  • Baguette slices, breadsticks, or crackers

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook Meat Sauce: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until browned. Drain excess grease. Stir in garlic, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Layer Dip: Spread half of the meat sauce in a greased 9×9-inch baking dish. Add spoonfuls of ricotta, followed by half of the mozzarella and Parmesan. Repeat layers. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes until bubbly.
  4. Serve: Garnish with fresh herbs. Serve hot with bread, breadsticks, or crackers.

Notes

  • You can use cottage cheese as a substitute for ricotta.
  • Enhance the dip with sautéed spinach or mushrooms for added flavor.
